no Saturday game is PIT @ PHI
sunday 3pm is PHI @ BUF on NBC
And, may I ask, how did you notice the Toronto caption when Katheryn Tappen was on the screen?
She is just gorgeous!
because when watching beautiful blonde women on tv, my first instinct is looking down, instead of face.
so that's where I saw Toronto, plus every single TSN reporter for the most part came on during the show.
my mistake...I meant Sunday. I didn't know they were also doing Saturday. Blackhawks and Kings down here in Dallas (Wonder if they'll carry the ceremony of raising the King's Stanley Cup banner). Also - a triple header from HNIC on Saturday. Wonder if NHLN will carry all three?
Nope, NHL Network is doing their usual hackjob Saturday, CBC's Hockey Tonight at 6:30pm, Rangers/Bruins at 7pm (probably using the Bruins feed) with Coach's Corner after the first period.
if your on the west coast your getting the CHI LA game, theres a chance if you go on nbcsports.com you might be able to see the PIT @ PHI games they might have both online.
As far as NHL network US there showing the NYR @ BOS game, as far as HNIC, That is going to be on NHL Center ice, wich will be free from jan 19-31.
Not sure if GCL will cover it but im ready
I hate how they do this. The fact that they bother trying to mash together two seperate games/feeds and still brand it as "Hockey night in Canada" makes absolutely no sense.
If they want to show two US teams to a US audience then just say so.
I hope D* NHL CI will be all working properly by then to carry the CBC feed of all 3 of the games...
Has anyone ordered center ice from DirecTV yet?
What is the price? I've seen conflicting reports in this thread? 49, 59, 69, 79.
Anyone got it cheaper through retention Dept?
as of now you can purchase NHL CI on directv on Saturday
the price im reading is 14.99 x 4 so that is 59.96
you can't order it until saturday
Thanks. Strange they want you to wait until the first game?
They took HNIC, the absolute best thing on NHLN, and completely ruined it.
Debating between Game Center and Center Ice. I have a Roku hooked up to the TV I almost always watch on.
Anybody have any suggestions on what to consider?
My favorite team is not subject to blackout on Game Center.
Depends on what you care about. Center Ice gives you DD 5.1 and HD.
Yeah, who cares about the game. As long as it sounds good. I tune in to hear if it's in true 5.1, find out, then turn the game off. Just how I do's it.
+Roku is super HD light. My Panny Plasma won't do HD light.
Hey, I've seen a couple of people here say CI will have a preview from Jan 19-31, but I haven't seen that on any other site. Where did you guys get that info from?
@helenenothelen: NHL announces that Game Center Live will be $49.99 for the season. for details, check http://t.co/JXRmQ2Ub
Like I said, depends on what you care about. If you want a bit-starved streaming version in stereo with subpar picture quality...you have one option. If you want HD and DD 5.1...you have another option. You still get the game either way, but you can have the better presentation of it if you wish.
Yeah, I don't do enough travelling to need to have access away from my home theater.
Center Ice it is.
