Available spotbeam in Indiana in HD on 640, which is a surprise because...

Really? I know it's on the CSN HD channel (not just a spotbeam), but in true HD? HD Sports Guide (usually correct) doesn't show it -- and I didn't think the Hawks did HD.

    Interesting.

I got a 5 dollar credit from CSR supervisor. I just talked with retention and am awaiting escalation in retention for a supervisor. I tried to get a refund and cancel CI but no luck.
    My gripe to them is;
Don't tease me with a hd feed for 3 days and not show it, despite still advertising it.
I pay extra for CI and HD access so having it in sd doesn't matter if its available in HD.
Stop changing whats scheduled on the guide right before a game, the reason I have a dvr is to record this when I am not there!
    UHGGGGGGGG!!!!

33 cents !! you should have held out for 35.

Boy...talking to Directv is like trying to get an answer from the US government about something.

Does anyone know at the NHL offices what a disservice that Directv is doing to their product ?

You would think it would be easier to just solve the problem than to deal with all the calls from angry customers (who are not in the wrong). My goodness.

Just got off the phone with a tech: 45 minutes total.

I think this one really understood what a complete screw up this was on the part of D*. She agreed to help get to the bottom of this: i.e. not just address it on a game by game basis, but solve the issue so the blackout permissions are correctly applied to begin with so we don't flood their call center every night with a 50-50 chance of fixing the problem on an individual game half way into the broadcast.

Anyway, of course this will go nowhere.

By the way, what was that again about "they'll have more games once the HD RSNs go CONUS"? Here's a feed from an HD RSN that has already gone CONUS and they can't even show it.

I am giving them till the end of November to get their act together. After that I am gone. Yes, I am patient.

Well, they'll have more HD games to black out incorrectly when more RSNs go CONUS. ;)

I'm pretty patient, too. And I can't imagine they won't get this stuff fixed. But even so, incompetence is still incompetence. New satellite or not, this shouldn't be any more difficult than authorizing the SD feeds.

Well, that is the root of the issue. It should not be (unless you're in Blackhawks territory).

Why is it that I can get the Blackhawks feed in SD but not the upconverted HD version? Channel 640 HD is blacked out but channel 640 SD and channel 765 both come in? For those that have the sports pack can you pick up this game on channel 640 HD as an upconvert?

No -- and a report above from someone in the Hawks market says it is actually in HD on CSNC-HD.

MrBill - Nope - they're blacked out there too.

This is like dealing with a health insurance company. Lots of time, stress, and pain. And you still lose.

We, the customers, lose. Nobody wins.

And some jerk keeps his or her job. Somebody needs to get canned over this baloney.

I am totally lost on what games I am supposed to get and why HD versions are blacked out but SD versions of the same RSN are not.
