Join the club. Actually we know what we should be getting...but DirecTV computers aren't agreeing tonight for the Bruins-Blackhawks game.

Ok the retention supervisor admitted they were having an HD feed problem that they were trying to resolve. He apologized and said that they were not even aware until the phone calls came flooding in. He said he would escalate the compaint but I doubt it will go anywhere.

why can Dish do it and DirecTV (the self-proclaimed sports leader) can't?

    American announcers completely suck.

Are all the non TSN and CBC games announced by American Networks? Or are the announcers the same ones that you would here if you were watching hockey night in Canada on CBC?

I think I know the general blackout rules, but why HD feeds are blacked out and SD feeds from the same RSN are in the clear makes absolutely no sense. Even if the game is not being broadcast in HD but the RSN is using an upconversion, why is the upconversion blacked out but the SD feed is not? This is not just happening tonight, it's happened before and will more than likely happen again.

Some do, some don't. Same for Canada.

Yes, when a TSN/CBC/Sportsnet game is shown, it is the Canadian broadcast.

It makes no sence, because it is a screw up on DTV's part. If you can see the SD channel you should always be able to see the HD channel.

OK Directv let's make a deal.

You do your job (put the NHL HD games that are scheduled on) and I'll do mine (enjoy the hockey games without having to be on the phone all night and pay my bill on time).

Now isn't that simple enough ?

Last post for now on this subject but this a quote directly from the D* web site's FAQ section on HD.

"How do I know what HD channels I'll get?
For the channels in your current programming package, you'll automatically receive the HD versions that are offered as long as you have the HD Access service.

Seems to me if I can get CSNC-SD through my CI package and I have the HD access service I should be able to get CSNC-HD.

Now it's time to watch baseball, hockey, and football.
