All true, but how many techs do you think they get calls from because they can't get HD off of an 18" dish, Trust me those techs are out there.

Or who put 3by4s on Ka/ku.

To the OP. How did you get a job with a sub without any D* specific training? I thought that these days ka/ku certification was mandatory.

The work I get from these guys is pot luck. WildBlue, SkyWay, E*, HughesNet but never D*; at least until now. Sometimes I have to learn quickly. That is why I am posting on this forum and I appreciate the constructive replies very much.

Will the dish options on the pointing screen be dish/lnb combo options? I assume there could possibly be different lnb's on a single dish? What configurations will I most likely encounter? I am referring to newer equipment.

Of course that's the site, but can you help with some "navigation" to the training video(s), if they're still up on the site?

Aside from that, we don't even know what equipment will be installed. Let's hope it's not ka/ku.

Mertzen, What are the concerns with a ku/ka dish. Am I correct that there are two of them. One w/5 orbitals and one w/3. Neither of the video links worked; but thanks for trying.

As far as giving this to another tech I am the only one in the area. I am located on the fringe of their coverage area.
