Not sure if anyone has mentioned yet but.

Make sure there are at least 2 monopoles attached.

No offense, but all the captions in the world aren't going to help that "drawing". :)

sorry that's the best i could do. i also have a detailed in words description above the drawing. i guess that was crude as well. also maybe i should just not have described it as shaking. more like trembling. i'd say i saw it trembling side to side or up and down about 1/4-1/2 inch when it was real windy. i've had no picture breakups but i'm concerned down here in s florida when we get a real bad storm.

If you can *see* it shaking/trembling/whatever, I would say that's a problem. I would call D* and have them send the installer back out to do it correctly.

With the strong winds we have had in the past few days I was losing my HD locals because of dish flutter. When it was installed last fall the tech mounted it on my facia board just like the round dish. No monopoles, just a 1x6. Anyway I had them return yesterday and do a "reinstall" is what they called it. It is now in properly, Tapcons in the stucco, and two monopoles. It does NOT move. They will make it right if you get after them.

yep. so does my neighbor. but his dish is also secured where the pole for the dish is attached to the wall mount pole. that part is secured down to the side of the roof overhang.

Yes, Mastec are indeed pretty bad. I won't let them touch my system...let them do a free upgrade years back and it was just a complete botch of a simple job.

I install my own, and use an independent contractor (that I've used from way back in my BUD days) to do any stuff that I don't feel competent to handle.

    Good luck!
