Ha...ha . Don't be sore WVU beat the Herd handily on the gridiron. Basketball will be back soon enough...although Huggins won't take Marshall so lightly as the other coach did :p.

Yes, Morgantown does get the Pittsburgh locals including FSN 'burgh. However all the reports from FSN Pittsburgh indicate that they will not begin broadcasting in HD until mid 2008 -- hopefully the new owners will kick that date forward to Wednesday.

BTW, the last call I had to DIRECTV was taken in Huntington to a Marshall fan the Friday before the game. Did not know DIRECTV had a call center in WV.

Still want HGTV, more RSN's, MGM does sound cool, and Food for the "talent" per all of the previous posting on other threads. National Geographic is still near the top of my list though. Heck, throw the Outdoor channel and OLN in the mix too.

Will be the winner if my memory is correct with FSN Detroit HD, FSN Prime Ticket HD, FSN Southwest HD, FSN West HD. I was told the list in coversation, but I cannot swear on a stack of bibles. How did I do SCBuck? I remember Detriot and SSW for sure. The others are a guess from what was said.

    My guesses for Wednesday:

    1. Food HD
    2. NGC-HD
    3. MGM-HD
    4. 4-5 RSN's

There's still time for FX to come up before Nip/Tuck starts on Oct. 30th, and D*'s probably trying to pace themselves...to get the best press each week. I say MGM-HD because they started on today, and their press release almost states that D* is their launch platform. D* has a nice feed of it to test for 48 hours prior to going live Wednesday.

Let me be eminently clear. There is no list of channels that are going live this week. No one here, not any moderator, super moderator or admin, knows what will or will not be lit up this week.

    Period.

I agree, although some like to pretend they do know or have a source.

I only post because I s/w with a lady at corporate offices in Idaho today. I was following up on th NHL Center Ice issue. She did pull up an internal list of HD channels and their start dates. It had been updated today she said. I listened and really was asking about my two channels (MSG and FoxNY). They are not going to make the cut. They do not even have a firm start date. As a tidbit, they do have some November and December starts already slated. This is no surpirse, but just says the weekly anticipation will last for the next two months.

Then how does SportsCenter get HD feeds of Speed broadcasts then? I've seen HD stuff from Speed on SC when they show race qualifying highlights, etc, and this was back in late spring or summer, if not even before that (late winter/early spring).

Although he has become a parody of himself, it is difficult to believe that there is no Emeril on the Food Network HD schedule.

I haven't seen the listing but I have read that MGM has leased the distribution rights to many of its own movies and does not have access to its full library.

These agreements will expire and others will take effect. The result is that movies will rotate in and out of availability.

I saw the 1080p but wasn't able to look at it at that time. Are those for download? Not just the previews but downloadable movies?

I'd like some locals. CBS, CW, My, and PBS would be nice. Currently only FOX, ABC, and NBC are offered.
