Online account problems

    I'm trying to add the HD Extra Pack but it is not showing under "Add Premiums". All it shows is what I already have (HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, NFL Sunday Ticket, etc.). It shows nothing else to add.

    If I do a search for extra pack, I see where I can activate it, but when I click it, it gives me the following:

    "HD Extra Pack requires HD Access service for $10/month. It will be added to your account once you confirm this selection. HD Extra Pack is free for the first 3 months, and $4.99/mo thereafter."

    If I activate it, what will it do to my bill? Will it add $10/month? I already have HD.

    I signed up for DirecTV in October and removed HD Extra Pack in December. I want to add it back on.

    It probably will not go away and show up as a charge on the next bill.
    Look online tomorrow and see if it changes.

    If you're having problems with the "self service" option, I'd suggest calling them. Since you already have the $20 advanced receiver fee, you do have HD Access (it's part of that package). It sounds like the online program has a bug in it that doesn't recognize that fact.

    When did you remove the HD Extra Pack. According to your statement, it is still on your account through today. When did you last try it? You might want to try again tomorrow.

    I cancelled it over a week ago. It still is not showing up under add premiums. I got my new statement yesterday and it is not on there.

    Yeah, since you had the free package, they usually will leave it active until the free time runs out and then it won't renew. Guessing that is probably what happened with you.
