    Hey, I was wondering,

Is there a way we can put a request in to Directv for adding options to our receivers/DVRs. I would really like it if there was the ability to have more than just two programable Favorite channels lists.

I currently use 1. Family, 2. Kids.... And that just isn't enough. I need at least a 3rd spot for DAD!

Do we have an options request thread around here anywhere? I've looked, but suffer from selective blindness, especially when it comes to finding things in the fridge or on a website with thousands of threads.

My first receiver, a panasonic from many moons ago, had 4 favorites lists and different skins for each user (limited differences but it was a start.) From time to time I too would like different user options and favorites and more than 2. :)

Anyway, for the HR20 DVR the wishlist thread is: http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=93995

    Cheers,
    Tom

Most personalization options seemed to be added by specific manufacturers in the past.

I still like how my old Samsung hd box had 2 games on it. It even had a game button on the remote.

Directv with their most recent boxes has seemed to move away from the personalize options.

Although I wont criticize them for doing so (different guides colors is not my thing) I would not mind them adding more favorite lists or personalized sound effects or whatever they can think of.

At least 4 would be great. I use one for PPV as it is easier for me to see what is on than using any other option. I would like one for just the music channels when I want to select something for just background music.

    4 is so 90's style

A truly "advanced" receiver would have 6-8 minimum.

I like my LG3200a. Hit the favorites button and a screen pops up with the channel logos on a grid. Highlight the one you want and hit enter. I wish my HR20-700 worked the same way.

I would think that increasing the number of lists would be an easy thing to do. 6 or 8 lists would be GREAT!
