Should I have pandora and other extras on my HR23? I have them on the 21 and 22, but not on the 23. Last update was 1/11, which was the new GUI. 21 and 22 show software updated in February. It has a catagory for extras, and some including youtube, but not near what the 21 and 22 have.

    Thanks,
    Errol

It needs to get 59E to have Pandora. Right now, it has 57B. Though I think Pandora should be it, if it's missing other things, there's more to it. Does it have a connection to the Internet?

Posted with wrong info, It does not have youtube or pandora, just active, messages, game lounge, music/photos, caller ID, and showroom, that is it.
I am whole home, and connected to internet.
Is 59E available for the HR23? I know some updates are receiver specific.

It's being rolled out, but not live all the time yet. It looks like it got pushed to some units in the early morning. It will get there eventually, I'd think it wold be a faster rollout than the first HD guide update.

I have had it on my HR20 for a week or so, but my HR24 does not have it yet. The HR24 is not connected to the internet so I'm not sure if that makes a difference in receiving the latest update or not. I know I can't use Pandora without the internet but I thought I would still get the update.

Same for me. Got it on the hr20 last week and not yet on my hr24. Neither receiver is on the internet.

I've got it on my HR24-500s (5 of them) and have had it for awhile and they are all connected to the Internet via DECA.

Still waiting for 0x59e. Looks like another slow roll out.

Internet isn't factored into when a receiver gets an update, but you won't be able to use Pandora without it.

I usually get releases after most already have it. This time I received 0x59e early. Its nice to have access to Pandora, but the sound quality isn't up to par. The feed coming in seems to be too loud and has quite a bit of distortion.

This could just be a coincidence, but started having issues with one of my HR 22's right after the update. It has been locking up, having screen freezes, issues with recordings and wouldn't come on even with a red button reset. Had to unplug to reboot and did a couple reboots in a short period, so it started to reload the guide, etc. I decided to turn off power saver to see if possibly it was causing it. I successfully recorded a couple shows last night and its working fine this morning. Fingers crossed that its back to being stable.

Fortunately I've been enjoying Pandora on my BluRay players so the wait for it to be available on DirecTV isn't a big deal. I'm just curious as to why my location is usually last to receive a update. Keep a eye on your HR22. Last July my HR22-100 had the same issues and more just before it bought the farm.

That's one way to do it. Do you have SWM (one coax cable going to the HR24)?

Yes, the coax goes to the HR24.

Not sure if this matters but my computer is upstairs while the HR24 is downstairs.

That's what I'm a bit concerned about, signs that its dying a slow death. My HR22 cosmetically still looks brand new. So I dread swapping it for who knows what model. Of course I'll go through the wanting an HR24 phase and hoping that's what they will ship. And then a scratched up silver HR21 will show up. If it bricks, I may try to get a deal on an HR34 and re-up for 2 yrs.

On the original subject, Pandora, I really don't listen to the music channels on my DVR, so probably won't use Pandora. Especially if the sound quality doesn't improve. For me, I liked the 0x59e update, mainly because of the smaller status bar.

Did Pandora disappear for anyone else? Has DirecTV disabled it?
