Sometimes I get slight dimming of the picture every 5-10 seconds on my 622 (about 3 years old). The guide also dims. Last night this was happening while I was watching an old episode of Lost and recording it to my DVD recorder. The recording (on the HD of DVD recorder) did not do the dimming.
My TV with OTA antenna feed (not from Dish) did not dim.
I turned the 622 and TV off and on again and then it was fine.
    Anyone else ever see this?

I saw some of this today on my 722, it actually looked like the blacks were fading to gray in the picture. I haven't tried turning it off or resetting it yet, will do so and see what happens.

Yes, I've noticed it on my 622 too.
I only notice it when I have the guide displayed with video.

Last night everything was fine - no dimming. I watched another old Lost while recording it to my DVD recorder and recordings of House and 24.
A few weeks ago was when I first noticed the dimming - on a recording of House but then 24 was fine.
The effect is very subtle - at first you might think you are just blinking your eyes.

My 722 is connected to my sony tv via HDMI, it is not the TV, blu-ray does not exhibit any similar symptoms. It seems to be coming from the 722. Have not watched it yet today to see if it is still doing it.
