I haven't seen this myself, but it could be the solar conjunction. Look at this link, http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=47136&highlight=sun+spots

It is the time of year for this.

I don't generally respond with a "no mine are fine" post but since your just a bit north of me in MD I thought it might be pertinent. It sounds like a dish issue to me. I'd call D* ,see what they say.

The same thing has been happening to me. I hope it is a problem with Directv. From what I have been reading on this forum, more than a few people have been having this problem.

5-10 minutes out of a four hour span is pretty hard to pin down. Can you give any insights as to the weather conditions present when this happens? Important factors might be rapid temperature or humidity changes. I'm not particularly concerned about solar conjunction if this is happening after sunset.

Being specific about what "all of my HD" means is important too. Does that include old channels like ESPN HD and Discovery HD Theater as well as new channels like Smithsonian and MHD?

It is only on the new MPEG 4 channels. And my transponder readings for 103b is all 0's when the channels are out, but in the mid 90's any other time. The MPEG 2 channels ae fine.

Another question...is 99b and 103a spotbeams because when I check tp readings, sometimes they bounce around? Thank you for any info!

I've been having the same exact problem as you. I am located in Southern Cali. I noticed it between the hours of 6 - 8pm. Did anyone else see it on NBC during Heroes on the Pacific? I had to change to channel 04 instead 79 or something can't remember the channel.
