Nearly all of them, but, especially the Senate Majority Leader, Sr. Senator from the great state of South Dakota. Nothing more than a party hack and hypocrite. Add to this the Junior Senator from New York State.

    WRONG!

He's certainly not revered by anyone I know. He's a racist bigot. Period.

Personally, I try not to "hate" anyone, but there are a few pols I intensely dislike.

Cynthia McKinney big mouth, no brains racist opportunist
Hillary Clinton, political whore ultra liberal socialist trailer trash
Tom Daschle, bottom-feeding opportunist president wannabe

    Agreed, Nick!

    Here's some of my own:
Al Gore -- in response to Sept. 11, he would have pissed his pants
    Mario Cuomo -- sleazebag liar
Hillary Clinton -- unfortunately she's one of my Senators!

i would like to name a person who has held one of the highest offices in this country. He used his families influence to avoid combat. He became an extremely hawkish politician. He would vote against every veterans bill offered. That's what a poor politician is, not someone who disagrees with you, but one who isn't consistant. And don't tell me about decency and honesty. Besides Jimmy Carter, name one major politician since WWII, who had both qualities.

My list starts with Bush Sr. and ends with Bush Jr. I can't stand their mannerisms or their politics. Don't really care for Tent Lott or Dick Gephardt who are career politicians who are hurting out country with their partisian ways.

Now I would disagree with Jim Jeffords. He took a great risk on his part to do what he thinks is good for his state. He never really voted with the republicans over the last few years so it doesn't really matter. I wish I would see more politicians ignore the Dem and Rep parties and look more toward their constituents and less to what their party leaders want. Senator Zell Miller should move from the Dems to the Republicans for the same reason. Just because someone has been with a party for many years shouldn't matter with the voters. If anyone votes for a person just because of their party affiliation, they do so because they are ignorant. Jim Jeffords and Zell Miller have records that show that they were both on the wrong side of the aisle. I can see how you might feel that he is a traitor for making the switch in the middle of his term, but I consider that guts.

Top of the list - John Ashcroft - Uses religion to bash people over the head. My previous governor, Missouri finally got wise enough to him that they preferred a dead man to re-electing him senator.
Second - All the Republican Senators who now decry partisan politics by the majority party, now that they aren't the majority.
George W. Bush - who now looks like a genius at president because he responded to a national disaster the same way the other candidate in the last election would have reacted, exactly the way the people wanted him to react. Remember, the other guy actually went to Viet Nam, even if he wasn't in a combat role.

I hate to disallusion such naive children, but there are many people who have been ordained, call themselves Reverend, who are racial bigots. Many of them are white. Too many ministers/people think ministers ought to be like politicians today, instead of the statesmen of the past, checking out polls to see what their theology today should be. "Gee, my congregation is made up of white supremecist protectionist homophobic bigots, guess I better be one too. Never mind what Jesus said."

all of 'em-just to become a politician, you have to wallow in the septic tanks, roll around good and get covered up so no amount of bathing washes it off....

this is why you see less and less people voting...sad state of affairs, but who can stomach what's out there...ugh

My least favorite politician is George W. Bush. I think he's worse than his father. I would be hard to argue with the notion he is President only because of his last name. He did nothing notable in his life before ascending to the Presidency. And yes, he may have had performed okay after the September 11 tragedy, but I have no doubt any other leader would have done much the same thing. To me he's woefully inarticulate and sounds confused quite often. Also, I dislike almost the entire current administration as it it just an extension of corporate America.

Tom Delay is a close second. I'm also not too fond of one of my senators, Robert Toricelli.

How can anyone not name Sen. Fritz Hollings (R-Disney)? If there's one guy trying to stifle the freedoms of Americans these days, it's him.

I'll balance it out with a GREAT politician, Rep. Rick Boucher (VA). I think he's a Democrat, but to be honest I don't even care what party he's affiliated with. This guy has proven time and time again that he "gets it" with respect to technology and copyright.

You have to give a big thumbs down to every member of Congress, anyway. They passed the Digital Millenium Copyright Act with a voice vote. And before them, anyone who voted for the Sonny Bono Copyright Extension Act (hopefully soon to be voided by the Supreme Court). These two rival the Patriot Act in their vileness.

Don't give him to my party, even representing Disneyland! Fritz Hollings, D. South Carolina. He reminds me more of a Warner Brothers cartoon character than someone able to achieve the highest national office from one of the 50 states. :D
