I feel obligated to share a positive installation experience I had yesterday. Most people only share negative experiences, and when they have a good experience, they just don't post anything. Anyway, the only negative I could say about my install yetserday was that it took a long time, about 3 hours. I am in the Buffalo, NY area. Had my 3LNB replaced with 5LNB dish, moved my SDVR40 to my bedroom, installed HR20-700 in family room, and installed my suplied DB4 antenna. Halsted Comm. sent out a very friendly, very competent installer named Mark, who came with his apprentice to help him. About an hour in, another of Mark's cowrokers, Greg, showed up to help speed the install along. They were very friendly, seemed to really know their stuff, and in the end I have a new 5LNB dish with signal strenth of 95-100 on all satellites, plus the OTA antenna is picking up every HD and analog station possible in my area. The HD with the OTA tuner in my TV (Sony KDS60A2000) is simply amazing. THE SD quality through D* has improved quite a bit too, as I previously was using S-video from my DVR to my pre/pro, and am now using the component out to my pre/pro, which has HD component switching capabilities. HD through the dish is excellent as well! All in all, I am very pleased with the job that Mark, his helper, and Greg did for me yesterday. It took them a bit of time, but in the end it was worth it.
