On second thought, that's an insult to the Atari Jaguar. At least Jag and JagCD had some good games like Myst, Iron Soldier, Iron Soldier 2, Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Alien vs Predator, Rayman, Power Drive Rally, Protector SE, Raiden, Battlemorph, Brutal Sports Football, Hyper Force, Sensible Soccer, Skyhammer, Superburnout, Tempest 2000, Theme Park, Ultra Vortek, Zool 2, Zoop, while PS3 has very few if any good games. Hell I played a basketball game on PS3 at my friend's house, and even N64 has better basketball game than that. Hell, One on One Basketball on Atari 7800 is more fun than any PS3 basketball game. Sony had the stupid idea that Nintendo would fail with WII because it didn't use Bluray the way it underachieved when it didn't use CDs for the N64. The thing that Sony forgot is that TurbografxCD, SegaCD, Panasonic 3DO, Turboduo, JagCD, and Philips CDI had all failed with the CD format.
It was because the CDrom format was already old/cheap technology by the time PSX came out that allowed it to be sucessful. Trying Bluray for PS4 would have been the proper timing and now just as all those others failed being early adopters of the CDrom format, Sony will fail with the Bluray format paving the way for others to suceed with bluray in the future when it's affordable enough for a game system.

Do you people understand HOW CRAZY the PS3 prices are? NeogeoCD was $300 when it was first released. It was cheaper than the cart based NeoGeo, but the NeoGeo was the kind of system that kids used think about when they were thinking about what they'd buy if they won the lottery.
PS3 is not that far from the Price of NeoGeo.

How powerful a System is or how good the graphics are really don't mean that much in terms of sucess. This is a screenshot from an Atari Jaguar Game. Now keep in mind that the Atari Jaguar was in the same generation as Super NES and Sega Genesis/Megadrive. Not even the best games from Super NES or Genesis could come close to the Jaguar and especially Jag CD in graphics, sound, etc.
