Well I just got the word.

0x10C2 will be available for download during the normal CE windows

    11pm - 2am ET
    Both Friday and Saturday.

The code base is to bring the R16 up to the same point as the current national release for the R15

This was pushed to my unit at 10:58. I went in a little after 11:00 to start the download, and it was just coming back up.

Mine was also pushed at 10:58. I decided to try to use the my RC32RF remote again on the R16 to see if the skip to end function would work correctly in RF mode instead of adding 30 second slips like I reported in the first impressions thread and it is still not working correctly.

Just noticed the update, pushed at 8:40pm. I have my R16 set for AV2 on the RC34 and after the update my remote stopped working for the R16 had to switch the receiver back to AV2

Shucks - this is my One Outstanding Complaint about the R1x series of receivers.

I'd really like to see this added - there are some shows that we watch where the first-run episodes are on one channel but repeats are on another.

We had/are having a big snow storm here in Utah and I can't get a signal at all. I'm hoping that later today the storm stops and I can get the update! Dang snow. ;)

Now if "Earl the Elf" could just get Remote Booking on them it would be sweet!

This was a pleasant arrival last night. We fipped our TV on at about 11:00PM last night, and started to watch recordings and were very pleased that autocorrect was there now.

Still loving the R16 at this end....

I could be wrong but I would think if this release brought the R16 up to the same version as the R15 I would think all we would have to do to get Remote booking to work is to add our access card numbers to the cutting edge website.

So far, so good. R16 is just humming along.

By chance - were there any release notes?

I notice that skip-to-tick works great, as does autocorrect ff/rew. Beautiful job by the engineering team - they've really built a serious winner with the R16!

Now, multi-channel-season-pass recording, and I'm in DVR heaven ...

Went to watch a program and box was locked up, no buttons on the front or remote would do anything. Did a RBR and came up to a screen saying checking disk please wait, after that came up fine.

it's really slow to respond while watching live tv and recording. Since we don't have DLB (Yeah, I said it), this is pretty important, especially during football season.
