I think there should be a link to a discussion thread so people can ask questions. I'm sure we haven't covered everything in this. :)

True, I didn't think of that.

I think Greg's link can probably be taken out. I think I have most of that stuff in the FAQ.

One link that will need to be resolved when this goes to "print" will be the link to the "trickplay" FAQ on the first page. I could take it out though if you guys think it's not needed.

I like the trickplay link but Stuart will probably have to add that one when they get to their final resting places.

Took out an old thread link and I guess it's ready to go! :)

EDIT: added new press and hold EXIT function too.

    Speak now or... :D

Looks good and you got the press and hold Exit button. :)

If there are no suggestions I'll stick it tomorrow.

Yeah, I see what you're talking about. Most of the icons are grainy but not all. That's weird...

Take a look at this one. I used a free Windows PDF printing utility called "do PDF" and selected "embed fonts" and "high quality images".

    http://www.dopdf.com/

Had to change the resolution of the "how to clean remote" image to make the final PDF file come out < 2MB, the forum limit for attachments.

None of the links came through on that one. The Trickplay link needs to be added on the first page and there are three links at the bottom.

I'll have to try and delete the copy off my laptop and do it again, I don't need to worry about the size anymore.

Maybe I PDF'd the wrong original doc? If you point me to the right DOCX, I'll be happy to do it again for you.

here are the ones I used, with the links.

The PDF looks the same, I just don't get it so I removed it from here.

I used the Word PDF writer for this one.

That one looks great. Better graphics than mine, IMHO. Links work too. I'm still using Word 2003, so no PDF capability.

And I just discovered my "free" version of doPDF doesn't embed links. You have to spell them out. So instead of this, you'd need to see this: http://support.directv.com/app/answ...2LzEvdGltZS8xMzIxMTYyNzU5L3NpZC9SbFQycC1Jaw==

Guys... the document looks great. (But...)

There will be a new remote for the RVU clients. I will provide a picture of both.

So we need to start working on v2 of this document.

    Notable changes:

There is no {YELLOW}, {GREEN} or {BLUE} button.
The {PLAY} and {PAUSE} buttons are the same.

    This yields the following changes:

Right now this remote and the software for it are in testing; if you are not a CE member, please don't blab about it in the public forum.
