A software update was performed on all 3 of my receivers last night. After the update, all 3 of my TVs are showing a 720p signal, even though on the receivers themselves the 1080i light is on. Since this problem started precisely after the update, and is found on 3 different receivers and TVs, the probelm is unlikely to be related to my specific equipment. Most likely it is software related. I called DirecTV, but they don't have a clue. Is anyone else having a similar problem? Just curious.
