I am in the process of upgrading my Motorhome to HD. It involves replacing a King-Dome Antenna with a Winegard open array SKM3 (single wire multiswitch). The multiswitch will be mounted in the front entertainment cabinet with a short 2 - 3 foot run to an HR20 sitting behind the front TV. The problem is the original wiring in the motorhome. The RG6 Cabling to feed the bedroom TV (plan to setup a H25) and the outside basement TV (HR24-500) is accomplished using a splitter somewhere behind the front entertainment cabinet. I would like to run an idea by the forum here to see if it will work. I strongly suspect that the 2 RG6 Cabling runs from the splitter back to the bedroom & basement is not long enough to connect to the multiswitch. What I think will work is adding a barrel connector to each run then adding a 4 - 6 foot RG6 cable at the barrel connector thereby lengthening each RG6 Cable run and connecting to the multiswitch. Doable??? Other ideas???
