During March TCM was showing all of his classic movies along with a very good retrospective with interviews with the top movie directors and Ray himself. I grew up with his movies, most still rank as some of my favorite movies.
Thank you Ray for stimulating my imagination and love for science fiction. RIP.

The sad thing is a lot of people today would look at his special effects and just see a low budget b-movie effect. But what he did was absolutely revolutionary and made an impact far beyond his films, inspiring the next generation.
