Again, you completely misrepresent satanism and only prove you know nothing about it except the lies and misconceptions spread primarily by the deist religions.
 You only yet again prove your ignorance of the issues. Wiccans have nothing to do with "devil worship". Try educating yourself.

No, they do not. Again, your opinion is based on the misconceptions primarly spread by the deist religions instead of facts.
  The practices of the SS had little, if anything, to do with the religion of satanism or its practices or beliefs.

    The...
I had a friend who was Unitarian. He said if the Unitarians had a symbol, it would be the question mark. ...?
I've always had the impression that Unitarians had no particular beliefs, they just liked to play "church".

You are now on the list at Homeland Security :).

(Of course, here in Utah, the standard line is: "Merely a law, not a Commandment".)

Happy - did you read the link that Danny posted? Apparently the army (hardly a "deist religion") disagrees with you. Well, I have to assume that they disagree with you, but that may not be a valid assumption as you haven't posted what your conceptions of satanism are. All you've done is call out others' conceptions as misconceptions.

What the F are you talking about???? The Army, as the link Danny provided shows, recognizes and accepts satanists and the link provides the proof that the misconceptions promulgated by several here (that satanists will rape, rob, murder, etc.) are false. I've consistently pointed out that satanists do NOT believe in the things some of the people here have stated, and Danny's link backs me up on that.

You're so quick to want to disagree with and ridicule me you only succeeded in doing so to yourself this time. How does it feel? Proud of your accomplishment? Trolling around to see if there are any more of my posts you can criticize?

Satan is a creation of Christianity. Wiccans, for example, have no concept of 'the devil'.

This is why it's so frustrating for Wiccans to be told they're Satan worshippers. You are, in essence, telling them that they worship something that they don't even believe exists.

Have you ever considered you may be the one with misconseptions of Satanist? You have never clarified what your conseptions are and neither have I. I have, however studied other religious beliefs besides my own both in collage and on my own and believe I do have a good idea what at least some Satanist believe and practice.

As far as Wicka is concerned, I believe most who practice this religion do not believe they are worshiping Satan, however as a Bible believing Christian I do believe they are a Satanic cult weather the participants in Wicka want to recognize this or not.

So does mine, which is a major reason why so many here disagree so stongly with much of what I believe, including you.

Here are the specifics that I was referring to in Danny's link:

    and
I assume that your basis is this statement:
In my opinion, that statement is contradictory to the first two quotes. Rape, murder, theft, etc. are certainly considered to be "the so-called sins", and are certainly opposed in the Christian church which by quoted definition the Church of Satan are generally hostile towards.

I still don't know what your opinion is, as you haven't offered it.

There are those here in this forum trying to say that satanist advocate rape, murder, etc. That is a complete and utter lie. If you had studied religions, as you claim, you would know that the religion of satanism does not support such things.
So to you, it doesn't matter that the people who actually practice the religion don't believe as you say they do, it only matters what YOU say they believe? Typical arrogant christian. Your statements contradict your claims of studying other religions.

Mark, I think the "sins" the satanists are referring to are the seven cardinal sins.

envy, gluttony, greed, lust, pride, sloth, and wrath.

My own take is that these guys are more of a protest movement than a religion, primarily a high-profile protest against Christianity.

I could take things in the Bible out of context to show that christians support rape and murder, too. Doesn't make it true, any more than your out-of-context assertions. My opinion has been that you shouldn't mischaracterize another religion based on your own bias and the misconceptions generally put forth by your religious institutions.

I so wish you religionists could see yourself as an outsider does. You have no clue how closely you all resemble each other, doesn't matter whether you are christian, muslim, jew, etc. You all hold the same sort of beliefs that even the most ardent islamic terrorists hold: that YOUR interpretation of YOUR religion is the only correct one, everyone else is wrong, and you must do everything in your power to get everyone else to believe as you.

Some do that using politics and laws. Some do that with bombs and bullets.

Everyone who thinks that I am desparately trying to make people believe the way that I do, please raise their hands...

    Happy: :hi:

Anyone else? Pretty rediculous, over-generalized accusation in my opinion. (Of course, if you don't completely agree with me, you're hopelessly and completely wrong...)

(yes, that's a joke...in case you were wondering)

Which is kind of silly when you really think about it. You are essentially telling people what they believe. And you probably know that the scimitar cuts both ways. The official doctrine of my church, for example, is that your church is not "Christian".

My own position is one of religious tolerance. What you do, say, or believe is your own intellectual property. I may have a different opinion, but as long as practioners stay within the bounds of the law, their religions are their own business.

So christians never try to spread their religion, never try to "convert" anyone else to their religion?

I was speaking in broad general terms. You choose to specifically target ME. Why? Methinks your obsession with me is getting intense, my partner may get jealous. :sure:

So you see that commonality as a bad thing?
