An odd choice to be this early in the HD roll out. Pittsburgh is a small market and a classic "football town" (football is not on RSNs).

The Pirates will set the all time record next year for consecutive losing seasons, and promise to add to that for many more years. The Pens should have left for Kansas City.

More like your post is an odd response to this welcome addition to the HD line up. Other than the fact that a great deal of Pirates & Pens games are broadcast in HD....DirecTV has or will have some ownership in FSNP as well as a couple other RSN's making this a slam dunk.
And the Pens should have moved to Kansas City why? They sell out every home game & next to the Steelers are extremely popular in the city thanks to Mario as well as Sid the kid. They have just broken ground on a new arena that will replace the Igloo.

That's great news! FSN PGH is the only RSN I watch on a regular basis. I may be a glutton for punishment during baseball season, but that's a small price to pay for the coverage we get this time of year.

BTW, what happened to Trenni? I saw a reference to her having left the station. Is that true?

FSNP just moved into a brand new studio which has to have all the new gizmos to do HD. I would assume it is on the agenda.

Hopefully CI will broadcast that feed for all us ex-Pittsburghers (all 500,000 of us).
So happy I could call Arnold Slick from Turtle Creek.

Jealous much??? Your post shows that you are nothing more than a raving lunatic with NO knowledge of Pittsburgh, or where the Pens rank in Pittsburgh's sports standing. Move along Troll.

Maybe we can get the Pirates in extra Lo-Def...

I don't know if Trenni left, but she's been on the BTN on the weekends doing sideline reports for one of the football games

I was resigned to the fact that we wouldn't get this in HD until mid-2008, thereby missing all the Pens games that are going to be in HD this year. Needless to say, I'm EXTREMELY happy at the welcome news this morning!! Just in time for the Pens game tonight too!!

It only gets better when the Penguins lose to the Jackets and the Steelers lose to the Bengals. ;)

Funny about Trenni on BTN. I had heard rumors that she might go to KDKA since they weren't renewing John Steigerwald's contract. Guess that isn't happening anymore. Once the contract is up, I hope FSN signs him.

Anyone with NHL Center Ice see tonight's game listed on the HD sub? I set it to record last night and it was only on the SD station, but hoping that with FSNP now in HD, more and more Pens games are shown on CI in HD.
