Can anyone tell me the location of the satellite this is on? Dish has FSN Southwest on 129 which I can't see from Corpus Christi with their standard equipment. I might be able to see it if I'm willing to put up my own 30" dish.

    Thanks.

And finally those of us not in the Dallas DMA can see the HD! Just in time for the start of the NBA season. Go Mavs!

I'm wondering if the alternate FSSW channels, like 667, will also carry HD?

I don't watch too much hockey or basketball, so I don't know about those games - but as far as college football goes - this past weekend was the first time all season that D* carried the HD game in the Dallas DMA - and that was on gameplan - they just opened up the feed. They've really sucked at getting the HD feeds to the 9X channels for those in Dallas. So you haven't missed much.

I am ready to move forward though - now all that FSN shoots in HD should come to us in HD ! Thanks D* - about time.

I wonder if this means FSN Houston (639) is HD too? It's only on when a Houston game is underway or a Dallas game is on 643. The rest of the time we are FSN Southwest.

Finally I won't have to wonder if the FSN college football game will be on a channel in the 90's. Last Saturday's UT/ISU game will be the last I watch on FSN in SD!

That game was in HD last weekend on Ch. 640. As was the games the week prior.

Although I am in the DMA of FSNSW, I don't get any NBA teams in my area, so this channel is all but worthless in my household :(

For all the Sooners - looks like your game vs. Iowa St. this weekend will be on in glorious HD...

You're in a strange area. I assumed that every inch of the US was claimed by some NBA team, just as it is with baseball teams.

When I go to the Fox Sports HD website, the only things they show for October on FSSW are:

    7:30 PM Bruins at Stars
    10:00 PM Stars Live Postgame
    10:30 PM FSN Final Score
    Wednesday, October 31, 2007
    7:00 PM Stars Live Pregame
    7:30 PM Blackhawks at Stars
    10:00 PM Stars Live Postgame

I don't think this includes college football. FSN usually has 3 HD games every Saturday.

Maybe I'm claimed by the Hornets, who have their games on Cox Sports Television...which, of course, I can't get on D*

What an awful situation. I assume.

FWIW, Zap2It shows 3 games on FSSW this Saturday:

11:30am Big 12 TBA Live (no HD symbol)
3:30pm Stephen F. Austin at Texas State Live (I wouldn't expect this one in HD)
7:00pm Tulane at Southern Methodist Live (no HD symbol)

I keep reading that Zap2It gets its guide data straight from DTV, although they don't always seem to be up to date when it comes to noting HD programs.

Ah! That explains it. It's a similar situation in Philadelphia. Comcast has a lock on the Phillies, Sixers and Flyers and they don't allow DTV to carry the channel.

Boy, that FSN HD site is brutal...last updated Oct. 3rd? And not a college football game listed that I could see, although they've shown a fair amount of it in October.

Anyhow, that 11:30 game will be Oklahoma/Iowa St. in HD.
