I wonder if these will be new models or some existing one. Perhaps they count some of the DirecTivos?

Samsung Elec To Supply $130M Set-Top Boxes To DirecTV

SEOUL (Dow Jones)--South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. said Monday it will supply set-top boxes worth $130 million to U.S.-based DirecTV Group Inc. (DTV).

In a press release, the consumer electronics giant said it will supply 1.1 million set-top boxes in the second half of this year.

The company said it expects to expand its supply agreement with DirecTV to more than 2.7 million units by 2005.

DirecTV, which is controlled by News Corp. (NWS), said earlier this month it will sell its set-top-manufacturing business to French consumer electronics maker Thomson (TMS) for $250 million.

News Corp., since gaining control of DirecTV at the end of last year, has refocused on DirecTV's main satellite-television business.
