I've had my seagate driver for about 4 weeks or so. Within the last week it has started making a strange noise. Almost like a high pitched squeeling or buzzing noise. The drive itself seems to be functioning properly, except for the noise. When I tilt it at a 45 degree angle the noise goes away. I'm wondering if I should return this driver for another one or if I should just leave it tilted at a 45 degree angle and not worry about it. Anyone else experience this?

i would take it back for a exchange, while you still can. the sound could be the cooling fan going out.

Take it back....don't wait. Clearly a sign of something about to fail....I'd guess fan too...if not it is something in HDD mechanics which would be even worse.
