Should we do a video, a la Doug's for DP? for setting this up when we release our first look?

I would be willing to do it, if everyone thinks its a good idea...

Damn better be a pretty model in that video. I think its a good idea as a supplement to everything else that is being done.

Doesn't Greg have access to a MODEL type of woman to do the Video. It would be much better than some of us doing one.

But yes, an install video would be loads of help to Jane/Joe6Pack. Nothing complicated. just the facts and a step by step install. Damm near everyone can follow one of those.

Its funny you mention models. When I used channel 201 the Directv guy started talking about powerline bridges for the VOD service. I think they might just add our steps to their own channel rather than a separate video.

I would recommend using a Slingbox to capture the onscreen video portion and dub in the audio. If I get a chance today, I will try capturing video.

Problem with that concept is that no one might get their WET610N installed, but most would still feel better about trying. :D

As I look at this post again I feel I owe Greg an apology. I meant no disrespect. Being a moderator I should have shown a bit more respect. Even though everyone knows and I'm sure took it to be a joke I shouldn't have made that post. Any of you new guys don't take my post as an "OK" to mess w/ the moderators. Greg and I go back a bit on this forum but in my own review a went to far.

    My apologies.

I will try it out with an HD camcorder.. But I don't see the point in doing too much till It works right.. I can;t get the popup to appear on its own as it stands now, so I will not be putting together one till that happens...

And I do know a model... Well see what I come up with... :D

I think a video is a great idea, but be prepared to re-shoot it multiple times, as screens could change each week in a new CE release!

Inkahauts I can capture the video directly from the HD DVR in HD or SD & convert in any video format. I'll be happy to help.

Ok, sounds like we want it.. However, I have a feeling it won't officially be released till this cycle is pushed to NR. Would that be a fair assumption Greg? If so, when do we think we will want to publish the first look and a video? I'm guessing not till we are at least in the releases candidate mode.. And since we are at the beginning of a cycle, and things int he gui are obviously changing by the day, I won;t bother doing anything till things settle down some.... :D
