I decided to check my signal strength for the new birds and found something interesting... I'm getting a 90 reading on 103(a) TP3.

I have been seeing that same reading (90 or 92) since Friday. Someone in the know can comment, but I assume it is just some tone signal, perhaps the carrier for the guide screens for the new channels that have been posted by the folks with engineering cards.

But don't you want it on 103(b)?

103 (a) is the Spaceway sat, in use currently, 103 (b) is D10 showing all "0"'s

This is the transponder we get our Denver locals from. Watch for settings on 103(b) to come alive:)

That makes sense... particularly if that is where the Denver LIL's originate from. I've never really had a reason to look before.

Why is there a 103(a) and a 103(b) in the meter section?

    Edit

Okay that makes sense. I can't wait to see some activity on b!

    103(a) = high band = spaceway bird
    103(b) = low band = D10
