Slimline is only a roof install?

    My install went great. The installer did a great job, including a pole mount. I already had all of my wires ran and in place. The install company was Mastec. I tipped the installer because he did a great job and had no problem with my request of cementing a pole in the ground. I'm very happy to be back with Directv after a year of being away.

    Well, thanks for all the wonderful feedback and information. There is truly a fantastic set of people on these boards.

    I have not rescheduled as yet as I haven't gotten around to looking up a local installer instead of rescheduling through D*. It's just been a nightmare trying to get this thing - each time having to take off from work, so I'll have to weigh up the options provided in this thread (local vs trying again through D*, possibility of reimbursement etc.)

    I do intend to reschedule and have really been motivated again by everyone's wonderful feedback.

    Incidentally, I will take a picture of were the 3-LNB dish is mounted and post it for everyone to see as well. I will let everyone know how the rescheduling goes.
