I purchased a separate slp3pig satellite for tailgating. My cable box model is HR24-500. In my first attempt I was only able to pick up a few channels (ESPNNews & etc) but not any of the major HD channels. What satellite settings should be selected to get al channels available? My default satellite selection is option 17. Anything else that I am missing?

    Thanks.

You need to rough peak the dish using the 101 sat and then dither the dish to get maximum signals on all sats

Do you have two BBCs attached to the cables at the satellite inputs?

And its a "satellite box", not a cable one. :D

No, I do not have a BBC attached to the receiver. Is this necessary due to the specific satellite I am attempting to use?

Thanks for the correction...Satellite Box. :righton:

Yes, in that type of setup call "legacy" you need B Band Converters (BBCs) on both the satellite feed lines to the HR24 to receive many of your HD channels.
