I dont see anything in TV unless it is in HD. I am still shocked and surprised, that it is taking for ever to convert everything into HD.

This seems to be a bit of different channel. However the article said "Big Magic International's programming will include a mix of daily sitcoms, shows on varied genres ranging from socio-mytho, dramas and crime". Its sad that the pathetic dramas will be shown on the channel. Same story, same issues, same crying..

I have Dish & was looking for converting to Direct TV. Looks like Direct TV doesn't carry not much South Asian channels. I am interested only in Tamil (SUN, JAYA & VIJAY). Looks like Dish is the only one that carries it. Did Direct TV had it & discontinued or never had it. Anyone Please?

Thanks. Bummer. Not good for us with Dish monopolizing it now.
Even Willow TV is not HD in Dish. Some internet companies offer the package thru Samsung/LG TV but that will not have DVR service. Hope someone picks it up. Comcast has Vijay . Hope they get more. :D

If DVR is holding you back why not look into getting a standalone PVR device such as a haupauge PVR, there pretty awesome. Everything gets saved to your PC in full HD which you can burn to a blu-ray or DVD later. I have one for recording PS3 gameplay as well as recording Movies that I dont want stuck on my DVR for ever :)

Looks like you are following me around! :D YOu told me I am probably a 2 star for some reason with Dish. May be someone else would treat me better

Seriously whenever international channels are offered by only one then prices go up and "Take it or leave it" attitude. That is one reason why Dish puts some of us in the lower bucket because they know we don't have choices! :D
Same thing as Direct TV has monopoly on NFL Sunday ticket! Once it is broken price on that will come down!

They announced ZEE TV will be in HD like 7 months ago, but still it comes in SD. These are ridiculous people. They work according to Indian Standard Time. while announcing they announced and after that no follow-up. I wish HD becomes reality one day, I am waiting waiting waiting waiting...........since too long...

The last we need is another movie or soap opera channel. I agree that Bloomberg should have been part of that.

Among Hindi movie channels, Dish Network still needs to add Star Gold, UTV Movies and Filmy. I don't understand why they won't add these channels, as they are already available on DirecTV and other cable providers (e.g., Comcast and Time Warner Cable). These channels would be more desirable to viewers than boring channels like Zee Smile. Also, Movies OK would be a great addition to Dish Network, but it would seem strange if they launched Movies OK and not Star Gold (as both have the same parent company).

We are not fortunate to know all details of these contracts. Perhaps money play the major role.
