Was on the phone for another issue for over 1hr, so I didn't want to continue enough to find out... the CSR claimed I could get U-verse internet 45Mb/down for $54.94. Was the CSR high or was I lied to yet again? (the issue I was on the phone for over an hour over). I checked the u-verse site, and the $54.94 is only 24Mb/down and its only that price for 12mo. The 45Mb/down is $65/mo and probably goes up to $75 after the promo.

It might be right as an introductory promotional price. Right now I have the 100/35 from my cable company for $55.00 for the first year, after that is goes up to $69.00.

the same $55.00 buys a current customer a 50/20 plan.

Didn't even sound legit as an intro price. I have Cox right now and its 25Mb/down for $55 (grandfathered package) since I've been with them since they flipped the switch. 25Mb/down for new customers is a crazy $73.99/mo. Really sucks... I live in a city in So Cal and apperently in Arizona, they offer 50Mb/down for only $58/mo.

Does Uverse offer 45Mb at your location? It can very by area/neighborhood. I can only get 18 here.

Ya... 24 down for $55, 45 down for $65. Both intro prices. Cox has 25 down for $75 (new customers , I have it for $55). 50 down for $100. Both of the cox prices are after intro.

Sorry I wasn't clear... Is the option for those available to actually select? I can see the offers but can't select them when trying to upgrade my internet. They tease me. lol

If you sign up through DIRECTV you get a $10 discount for 12 months. They may have included that in the price offered. Call back and you should get the same offer.

In Phoenix, Cox offers Premier for $67.99. It is 50/10. The introductory price (3 month) is $56.99.

Ya... I have no idea why they charge so much less for a much faster connection in AZ and other areas. My house was built in 2002, so it's not like they would have had to dig up 100 yr old streets to lay fiber.
