So it's not HD content yet Per SE, But lighting up Speed, like every other channel not having content yet, has made every show 100% more watchable. Have you ever tried watching an NBA game on a SD RSN. It is horrible, almost unwatchable.

I will take 4:3 full quality SD on an HD capable channel any day.

I think D* has done a great job adding a wide variety of new channels from cooking to sports to entertainment and learning. Not only have they added the most channels they added the widest variety of channels.

I would much rather wait for my favorite channels to add HD content then wait for my provider to add that channel in HD.

    IMHO

If the F1 race this weekend is in 16:9 proper aspect then your entire post here will seem foolish. So.. I will wait until after the race before I comment more :D

I'm finding that getting all these great HD channels is giving me an extremely low tolerance for watching anything in SD. So, for me, getting Speed is great because it looks piles better than it did before. I don't much care how or why, just that it does. When they start getting true HD content in Feb then yip yip yahoo but for now it looks sharper, the colors are better and I'm liking it.

D* is delivering after a long wait which gives me hope that maybe one of these days I'll get my locals in HD too.

    Now, yes.

But I am assuming they will have conflicts in basketball season more than just at noon on Saturday, so it will be of more value once basketball starts.

BTW, I think they have only two games this Saturday at noon (both non-conference). So, even with football, at times it is only one game in SD. I can live with that until they get it all worked out. Right now, even as a Big Ten fan, I would rather they concentrate on the RSNs.
