I haven't made it a secret, I like my tuneage to be a little more heavy than most. This song does it for me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p54CMth4Jpg

My wife of 2 months, Melissa. I haven't been in the Christmas mood since my Mom suddenly passed away on Dec 23 2005, just hours after I had been talking with her about our Christmas plans.
Melissa has brought back the joy of Christmas and the wonderful Christmas spirit.

That is so awesome man! :)

Sorry to hear about your mom's passing, but I would suspect she'd be thrilled that your wife has helped you to see the Christmas Spirit! NICE!

Nice words, Smiddy, thank you. :) Christmas was huge in our family. The parents would start decorating in Oct. The home looked like a Christmas wonderland, yet very tasteful but warm and inviting. Melissa has done the same here.

I wish you a very warm and joyous Christmas. :)

    The...
Last Wednesday, I drove my eldest son to ATL to put him on the first of a series of four aircraft that would take him for a two-year foreign assignment to Kabul, Afghanistan. I'm sure our next two Christmas celebrations will be joyous, but subdued. I am comforted in the knowledge that the fervent prayers of many friends and family go with him, as they do for our military service men and women as well.

Wishing all of our DBSTalk members and their families a very merry Christmas and much happiness during this holiday season and for the new year to come.

The beginning of Advent, the joyous looks of expectation on my grandkids, and seeing my oldest son haul out the Christmas decorations and put up almost 3,000 lights out front, all the while listening to Christmas music.

First, thank you to your son, Nick.

Seeing my Dad in aww as he set up the Xmas gift I bought him...52" 1080p Samsung LCD. He put in the Blu-Ray title Up, and he was shocked. It's a BIG upgrade from his 46" 720p RPTV DLP. The best $1500 I've spent.

    Three things:

Hanging of the Greens at church - lots of work but the looks on people's faces when they see the trees and wreaths are worth it.

Decorating our house with all the Christmas "sit-arounds" that my wonderful husband has gotten me over the years.

The "Stay out!" note from B. Claus on the closet in our spare room - that means if I open the door Boogie Claus will get me cuz the hubby's hiding presents!

I listen to Christmas music almost exclusively during December. That, and decorating the house really gets me in the spirit!
