It would be [mildly] interesting to see if the Ideal would pass DC through the non power passing leg on their label. This might point to the same "guts" inside.

Yep, thats what got me thinking about it.

Could be that they are just binned differently depending on the QC tests. Skywalker & others may have stricter requirements than Ideal.

Just have to picture that assembly line in China with a dozen or so 8 year olds with rolls of stickers. One for Skywalker, Perfect Vision, Ideal, etc. :(

I think it was an episode of the Simpsons that someone say "Childrens toys made in China for children by children" or something like that anyway. Sad and funny at the same time.

The cases are welded together. I needed a Dremel tool to open mine up.

me too !!! I think they are the same too. I ordered a new Aspen to see how it preforms against the others. I know smoke uses them, of course he might not be the best reference......lol

Well my new RV had a 4 way splitter hidden in the wall...attenuated the heck out of some of the SWM signals. My HR20 had a difference of 20% from tuner 1 to tuner 2. My wife took that splitter out of the system yesterday and now the signals are equivalent. I will ask her what the brand is on it.

BTW, where is the best place to order the Skywalker splitters...need a 4-way and 2 2-ways.
