We all know in the first few days of Spring Training its a rite of spring to have D* black out the first few games. Question for Satelliteracer is there anyway to know if this year this occurrences can or will be kept to a minimum this spring. Thanks.

Are the spring training games included in the EI package?

No. You would only see them if you have the Sports Pak and the game isn't blacked
out to out of market people

Well I wouldn't exactly say that. I have found that at least with the first few days its touch and go until D* gets back into the flow. It would be worse if it was regular season though.

Is there a way to find out the club's Home Television Territory for each club? I have been unable to find a site that tells me. Thanks for any assistance.

It should be part of the MLB package. It might even help sell the package.

It's on the mlb.com and directv websites. Look under the blackout rules.

You should start seeing spring training games on the RSNs...where available and where the RSN has allowed them to be seen.

Well it looks like SNY and the Mets decided to not permit today's game.....

EDIT: I've just emailed SNY for their possible assistance.

As I have posted elsewhere, I cannot even receive FSN midwest cardinals spring training report. In addition, yesterday 647 blacked me out of the cardinals/mets game, today 625 is blacking me out of today's cardinals/mets game.

I have MLB EI, superfan, sportspak and MLBtv.com, My wife (rabid cardinals fan) is NOT a happy camper.

I have started a thread down in the sports section to try to track everyone's blackout problems in one place.

As mentioned, you won't get them all. Depends on a number of factors. I'll see what I can do to get a cohesive answer for you because it depends on the RSN, etc.

But I know some will start broadcasting today.

Actually some years yes and some years no. Plus contracts change with each RSN.

Incidentally, I'm watching the Mets vs Cards game right now with no problem.

Actually... and this is weird... SNY SD feed is working, but the HD feed is blacked out.

    That makes NO sense.

Agreed. I have SD hidden in my guide so I didn't realize this was the case. Thanks for letting me know.

If you have Sports Pack, you will get the spring training games. Not all games are in HD. 625 this morning did have a 727 error if you direct tuned and didn't go to the SD portion. That has been fixed.

The first true HD spring training game will be this Sunday with Yankees and the Phillies as a FYI.
