Does anyone know what happened to Dtv carrying channel 46 in STL? Lately it says the channel is no longer avail and they made it a ION channel slot.

The old owner (Roberts Broadcasting) filed bankruptcy. Ion was a creditor so they (Ion) got 3 stations...the other 2 being in Evansville, IN and Columbia, SC

According to their Facebook page WRBU will be upgrading to HD "soon" as well as adding some subchannels.

D* is now using the national ion East feed on channel 46, while OTA is SD.

Correct. Enter channel 46 (without the dash one) on your remote to get ION in HD. Oddly, if you go to 46-1 in the guide, you can get to the OTA channel (still in 480i SD) after all. But entering 4, 6, dash, 1 directly gets the message saying the channel is no longer available.
