So I am geeked that I am upgrading to HD on two of my three TVs on Saturday, and just have one question, my wife wont let me buy another HDTV and upgrade the third set in the bedroom (we hardly use it anyway), so I am keeping my old standard receiver. Am I correct in assuming that the standard receiver will still work with the new 5 lnb dish, I just won't get HD channels? (obviously)

That is correct. Just set it to a 3 LNB dish during setup and you will be good to go.

You will get a wb6x8 multiswitch to run the two recorders and the one SD boxes.

Consider passing the installer a few bucks to run a dual cable to the SD box instead of the required single.. Then you can either relocate the recorders to the bedroom or add an additional HD DVR in the future without another service call.
