kUNG FU HUSTLE will be on the Starz pack free preview, as well as Sin City, The House of Flying Daggers, The Pacifier and The Incredibles, Starz always has more better movies than HBO, all of the Lord of the Rings movies went to Starz and not to HBO

Based on that list, I would agree... Only problem is, I buy a lot of DVDs for the movies I really like... so I have Sin City, Incredibles, and the Lord of the Rings movies.

Oddly enough, I use these free previews to test the waters... DVR a bunch of stuff I am not sure if I will like or not, so I can watch to see if I want the DVD. If I like, then I buy the DVD. if I don't, then I saved some dough!

Anyone else find that the first movie listed in the press release: "Stealth" is nowhere to be found?

TitanTV can't find it in the next couple of weeks, either.

Whoopdy doo. I bunch of old movies in SD. Now if they had Starz HD then it might be something to care about.

I prefer to record movies on the DVD-R, instead of using a DVR or buying movies on DVD,
    every month I read the entire list of movies on the Dish mag, that way I know which movies to look for, and sometimes I also check the IMDb to see what others think of those movies, I usually end up erasing all of the movies I record;
I only record my favorite scenes from each movie I like, for example, I have a DVD with only my favorite scenes of action movies, another DVD with only my favorite scenes of westerns movies, I do the same with horror movies,
I only have my favorite scenes of the LOTR triology, and there are bad movies that have a nice action or fight scene worth recording, so I only record the scenes I like.
And Stealth will be on Starz on the 20th of next month.

Obviously customer satisfaction is not on Dish's list either. I do not watch live tv, only watch TiVo'd shows. Therefore I will not watch the free preview, since I can't record the shows with my TiVo. One less new subscriber for Dish's Starz.

it's amazing how many people are spoiled with that tivo/DVR, so spoiled that they just can't and are unable to record manually with a DVD-R

yeah, you're right, Dish just doesn't give a rats ass about it's customers whatsoever! I'm pretty sure during their shareholder meeting on the 11th, they are going to make sure all the stockholders understand that customer satisfaction isn't a goal of the company!

You know... that's not a half bad idea there. For movies I really like, I prefer buying the pretty packaging and all... but there are some scenes of some movies that I will just pop in to watch that scene and that's all I want to see.

Maybe I should start making "mix tapes" of favorite movie moments. That's a pretty good idea.

I'm surprised we haven't heard from all the Dish Family and local only's whining about not getting the preview. Maybe they finally got over it!;)

That's a great idea, I've been doing that for over five years,
I never get tired of watching my favorite scenes,
from all kinds of movie genres,
like war movies, and other great shoot-outs, the best fights scenes of Bruce Lee,
other fights scenes from alot movies, like Clint Eastwood,
    great car and truck chases
    and explosions,
too much stuff to mention in one post.

They don't contribute that much to the greater cause of satelite TV anyway.

You are absolutely correct, considering that there still is no such thing as "American Family Basic" on Dish. Now if you are talking about people who subscribe to Dish Family, then I would have to disagree with you. Everyone who subscribe to Dish helps the greater cause!

Check this out... Could be a trick, or a joke, or a supremely ironic EPG glitch...

But right now Stealth is on Starz... but the EPG says it is Bewitched.

So it would appear Stealth is being stealthy in the EPG!

I am accidentally recording it because someone else wanted to see Bewitched... so now I have to go back and see if I got the start of Stealth when it is over (Bewitched is supposed to run from 9-10:50)... and then have to set a new timer to try again for Bewitched later if it actually comes on.

    Strange!

    The irony :)

Starz must have changed the schedule, the guide on my cable box lists Bewitched as well for Starz at 9:00-10:50. Didn't want it, but I went back in the EPG. It's supposed to be on again tomorrow 5:15-7:00PM, wonder which movie will be shown.

    Curiouser and curiouser...

It is now a little past midnight on the east coast... and the free Starz West channel is showing Bewitched as the EPG says...

That wouldn't be so odd, if it weren't for Starz East showing unadvertised Stealth at 9pm... and I would have thought the Starz West feed was the same but just 3 hours off.

    So it's really confusing now!

Anyone who caught Stealth in the middle, and noticed it was on... and thought they could catch the later showing on Starz West... will be surprised to find Bewitched is actually Bewitched on that channel.

I'm actually now more worried about some Starz timers I have set to fire tomorrow... I wanted to watch Hitch... but am wondering if they will be back on schedule by 8am tomorrow... so now I'll have to make sure I check and see in case I need to switch some things around!
