Nice plan, I doubt Bettman cares. He solved Phoenix, I think he figures he is off for the rest of the season.

And I really don't consider Phoenix "solved."

I watched the Phoenix feed Monday night, I think the league will get the team, and they will put in the group they want which will keep them out of Hamilton, so maybe not completely done, but nonetheless, Bettman does not care about anything related to VS or MSGHD and he has been showing that for about a year, ever since MSGHD went off, and if he did care about VS, he would have gone ballistic opening night.

The only difference between the 2 MSG feeds on NHLCI was the announcers during the action.

Someone mentioned this already, but I didn't see any MSG+ HD feed listed on the RSN's. Can someone that lives in the Sabres or Devils markets let us know if you had an HD feed of the game?

I may not have made that post clear. Both of the feeds on NHLCI for the Sabres and Devils were in SD. Even though I now see that ch 635 is listed as MSG+ HD, the game on NHLCI was SD. I thought I tried 635, but maybe I only selected the NHLCI feeds. So I was wondering if fans in the local markets received an HD feed on D* or on cable.

In the NY market the Islanders feed was in HD on MSG+ Ch 635. The Rangers feed was SD only on MSG2 (Overflow) Ch 636. The Knicks (Opening Night) was on MSG-HD 634 so the Rangers were bumped to the MSG2 SD only overflow channel.

I had the game in HD on the Western New York TWC System, on the Sabre Channel 700 and supposedly it was a HD broadcast on MSGPlus HD, however the picture quality wasn't the same as on normal sabre 700 hd channe.

It is interesting that I get every Knick game in HD but, the Sabres, the Rangers, the Islanders and the Devils we only get the out of market SD.

Well hopefully, someday the NHL and these providers will work all these bugs out in the NHLCI.

My wife is Canadian, and naturally a "big leaf Fan", and longs to hear her normal Leaf Announcer (Joe Bowen) do a game in HD on Rogers sportsnet or Leafs TV.

Too bad she will have to listen to Rick Jeanneret Friday Night:hurah:

I managed to talk with Gary Bettman on today's NHL hour, asking him when the issue with MSG Hd would be fixed. Unfortunately, I lost my Internet connection about that time so did not hear the reply. Can someone recap so that I know if there is a glimmer of hope or just the usual manual manipulation.
    Thanks.

I called in to NHL Live but didn't get on the show; I forgot the show was on and didn't call in until about 4:35pm. Maybe Bettman didn't want to discuss the MSG HD situation..who knows. Bettman just confirmed that he IS a D* customer and said it is up to D* and Comcrap to iron out the details. A caller just put Bettman to the mat and asked Bettman to be the fan's advocate and get Vs. back on D*. He says the Vs. issue really is related to what tier D* wants to put Vs. on. Several people did ask about dual feeds on Center Ice.

If I remember, I'll try calling in next week.

Did anyone else notice that the MSG2 feed of the Rangers/Islanders game was washed out? The white of the ice rink was SO white that it washed out my screen when they showed the ice surface. I had to watch the game on the MSG+ feed. This was more watchable. Never saw this washed out problem before with the SD MSG feeds.

I was only home for the 1st 15 minutes of the Rangers/Islanders game. I did watch on 636. The picture was ok. I did not have the wash out of the ice that you described. However, I have seen it many times before on the overflow channels. Of course, The Islander feed on MSG+ HD looked great :(
BTW,tonights Rangers/Minnesota game will also be on MSG2/636
