Just started watching the Notre Dame and Purdue game on NBC and it appears that the stuttering problem we've been having has been resolved.

The problem was happening on both NBC (36) and CBS (3) which are both 1080i channels.

If anyone in the Charlotte market is reading this, I'd love to know if they are noticing this also.

(Want to make sure I'm not seeing this through rose colored glasses). :)

Nice to see that D* is finally swiftly fixing all the markets that were plagued by these encoding bugs.

I wonder why only certain markets where effected by this problem? Here in Atlanta I have never seen the stuttering issue.

Seems good. I'm surprised it happened so quick after NY.

I didn't notice it on either the ND/Purdue game on 36, or the FL/AL game on 3.

I hope Cleveland gets fixed soon. Glad to see Charlotte and NY getting a fix in quickly though so there is hope.

I believe only the earlier MPEG4 markets experienced the problem due to older encoding software/hardware. Most other markets are fine.

But Atlanta was among the second set of cities to go MPEG4, only Detroit got HD LIL before Atlanta. I have had MPEG4 with the H20 since last Nov. and I have never seen any stutter issues.

I'm not sure how long Charlotte has had it. I didn't get my HR20 until Sept. 12th. and the stuttering was there from the get go.

Its definitely nice not to have that going on when trying to watch a game. Before today whenever there was a game on any of the MPEG4 channels running 1080i, I would watch the standard channel instead because the stuttering was hidious and distracting.

Be thankful, because the stuttering really sucked. Looked like someone moving around with a strobe light going on.

Cleveland's 1080i have been stuttering since July, 2006!
