We have had many threads around here discussing ST or SF pricing by D*. Well, plain and simple, the Auto Renewal price is $229, Early Bird is $249, and regular price is $269. Many of us fell victim to no auto renewal, for various reasons, most commonly because we had to activate a receiver and the 2006 ST was causing an activation issue. Upon calling D*, we have been told Early Bird and the Auto Renew price were the same, WRONG!! Watch channel 214, it shows plain as day that the auto renew is 5 payments of $45.80!! So, I called D*, and without hesitation got a $20 credit called "NFL ST price correction", so D* even knows that they have been screwing up. It just takes us to call and demand what we are entitled to, $229 if you are a RENEWING sub.

    Hope this helps.......:)

Should I be concerned if I haven't seen any charge yet? I should be on auto-renewal, in fact I verified this with them last week.

Any word on whether they'll continue waiving the Superfan charge for subscribers who paid for it previously?

Actually there is another price - $209...if you signed up for the MVP easy pay back in January or February (you pay for 11 months). I went this way because it's easier for me to budget that way.

Go to channel 107 and see if the "you are authorized for this program" appears. Your June statement is suppose to show the auto-renewal of NFLST. If not, then your auto-renewal did not happen and call directv. Apparently those that are auto-renewal have until June 30th to call, should their auto-renewal not happpen, to get the $229 price it seems. At least the message of channel 214 said that.

From my most recent statement I am getting a Renewal Notice: No Payment Due for this month and next.

Is this normal? I did not have this on my June 2006 statement.

    TIA,

    DK,

You are auto-renewed for NFLST. I think payment starts on the July or August (not sure) statement, since my bill showed the same as what you have.

Actually it is the same price as auto-renew (IIRC).

    $20.82 X 11 = $229

Though I don't mind the $45.80 in 5 payments........why not pay $19 a month and save $20?? Sounds like a deal all the way arround!! Maybe I will look to do that for the 08 season if they offer it??

This seems a little weird? Because it seems that most of us started paying in May? I always started paying in May in the past.......except the years that I just paid the whole thing up front.

Okay, that makes more sense. Why extend the convenience of a lower monthly payment AND give a cheaper price....? If anything, I would think the 11 pay may have a slightly higher total price, as opposed to the 5 pay, kinda like auto insurance, they stick a little "convenience fee" per month for the monthly deal.

You're right, my bad. It was $209 last year. I can't be right all the time. :hurah: ;)

I went with the monthly because basically I'll have the same bill amount all year round with a one month respite (Xmas present if you will). I hated having this HUGE bill 4 or 5 months a year.

Heck, I had to check my bill after I posted to be sure :D. I agree paying the small extra amount practically all year is better for me as well vs. the larger bill for 4 or 5 months.

I did the auto-renewal thing for $20 a month. It's a good deal and much easier to afford. The problem is, once you do that, you have to pay $99 for super fan as you can't get the Draft Day deal if you already have auto-renewal. That is, unless you pitch a bitch and threaten to leave. :D Sooooo the auto-renew may not be the best option if you are a super fan user.
