I got my refund for the "to Go" last week, now I'm ready to ask for the whole thing back.
It would of been better if they went the MLB route click a game on the schedule via ST to go then have a pop up then put your info in it.
I thought the "To Go" feature was only $10...that's what I was going to be charged but I decided I didn't want it...
$10 / month for each of 5 months. $50 total.
I only checked out the last few minutes of OT of the Washington-Houston game but the picture had a lot of "JUDDER" to it.
Is this normal with this service? Or is it my connection. I have an iPhone with AT and T service and it is 3G.
I kept getting an error message on my Android EVO that my WiFi connection was blocking the video signal, and to try to connect via 3G... The only problem is I didn't have WiFi on, and WAS connecting via 3G!
Totally useless on an iPod Touch with WiFi. I could launch a game but after about 2 seconds of video it would crash. I never could get the RZ to launch.
The PC app worked in an accpetable manner for me. Occasional freezing, but only for a second or two and then back to the game. I honestly dont expect perfect playback, and was happy to see anything of the GB/Buffalo game. However the android app didnt work at all. I had the same issue as some others, the device told me my wifi signal was blocking playback but I have wifi turned off, no where near a wifi signal, and I was using my 3g connection.
If I had not gotten this service for free I would be livid. I got it to work, but after many tries, the screen freezes for a second of two every minute no matter what quality i have it on. When I click on the games it wont find a stream or it will say that the game is not part of the package. in the middle of the game it will just freeze and i cant bring it back, switch to another game then try to switch back and it cant find the game. Last year this option worked amazing, I really had 0 complaints. I dont understand why they couldnt keep it working the same way.
I was only able to get on for the 4th qtr of the 4:00 games. I was either given the Stream not available or an error telling me they were experiencing technical difficulties and to try again later.
Once I got on, the stream was fine on the High Speed option using my laptop. However, trying to watch on my Droid over wifi, the picture quality was terrible. Often times it was so bad it was hard to tell which game you were watching.
I was unable to get it for free this year, even though I had free Super Fan last year. I called yesterday to complain since I also had problems trying to watch it on my phone last week at the Bills game. I was given a credit of $9.99 for one month.
Hopefully they get this fixed sooner than later.
So how did this work for everyone the 3rd week? I tuned in for a couple of minutes at about 5 CST yesteday and it looked good then. Was it working well earlier on? I haven't had a need for it these first few weeks but need it later on and want to know if they have the bugs worked out (or if enough people have cancelled that they can handle the volume now).
I have never gotten it to work reliably for any period of time this season. I either get the no stream available error or the picture is so choppy it's useless. I'm using a PC hard wired to a cable modem.
It's very frustrating because it worked great in previous seasons. If I had not gotten it for free I would be very upset.
Worked fine during the 1:00 games while using my laptop. Went over to a friends house to watch the 4:00 games and tried to watch on my Droid. Received numerous Network errors. Finally connected and was told "This program is not available in your area" when I tried to watch the Redzone channel. Finally got the Raiders/Cardinals game to load, and the picture quality was horrible. Couldn't read the scores, could barely differentiate the teams.
Had no problems watch NFL Redzone using NFL mobile on my droid. Picture quality was really nice.
I watched the morning games on a 3G while at my son's Little League game (only when he wasn't up to bat or pitching) and it worked fine. I have an iPhone.
I did have some issues in week one that many folks have talked about here, but worked flawlessly yesterday for the Cowboys game and then the OT for the Falcons - Saints. Many parents in the stands were intrigued by it as they passed around my iPhone.
My daughter's using it while away at college to see the Steelers' games on her laptop (running off the college's wifi). She was very pleased with it during the first half, but complained it became unwatchable for much of the second half. I'm one of those who actually paid $50 for it and it appears I paid too much given how spotty the performance is. But I don't want to just give it up as I hope (yes, I know hope comes too easily sometimes) that it will improve and give my daughter a way to catch the games. Seriously don't know why they switched applications. Why mess with something that's working well enough (at least for computer based viewing)?
Called directv today to complain about the problems with ST To Go, told them I know directv had given it away to many people and asked if I could have it comped as well because of the problems. I was curious how they would respond to this since I wasn't calling to cancel outright and ask for my money back. I hope they improve the service as I value it. It's the only way for my daughter at college to watch many Steelers games and she's a big fan (I raised her right!). They gave me a credit for $40, making the service $10 now. I'm content with that . . . as long as they fix the bugs in a week or so.
Everytime I try to watch Highlites none are available.
My Blackberry and Android tablet have never been able to get Hilites.
I do get the Red Zone however along with stats etc.
Just no hilites.
I pushed and got a $60 credit...the Iphone app works much better then the android but neither are up to par, what a waste.
