    Have some SuperDISH questions

1.) Can SuperDISH be mounted on a roof?

2.) Is the SuperDISH compatible with 522 and 322?

3.) Approx. what direction does it point? (South, Southwest, Southeast)

4.) Does it replace or add-to a Dish 500 install? (Use 500 & Super together)

    Thanks!

    yes..although they sometimes discourage it

yes...SD is DishPro and all 3 digit receivers are DishPro. The 4 digit receivers (6000) would need an adapter

same direction as your dish 500

replace...the SD has LNB's at 110, 119 and either 121 or 105 (depending on your locals loc)

Thanks TonyM, you are a resource of information!

My DISH500 is on the roof to clear the trees south and southwest of my house, and if they have to put the SUPER on the ground, it will have to go about 25 feet out in my front yard... I'd rather not but if required I guess I'll do it.

They'll probably put it on the roof if you have trees in the way.

While I think that all 4 digit receivers work with the DP adapter, only certain 4 digit receivers support the SuperDish. I know that my 2800 does, but I can't say exactly what models don't.

My SD is mounted on my roof. Installer never said a word about having to do it. It was only his 2nd install though, my old dish was located in the same area, and that is pretty much the only spot that had a clear view. Using the appropriate hardware and making sure rafters were hit, it isn't going anywhere. I went up there and tried to move the mast around and it was SOLID.

The only receivers that don't are the
    1000
    2000
    3000
    4000
    5000

so all the x000 except for the 6000 wont work with Superdish

Also, the JVC HM-DSR100U (see here for a comparison of older receivers' features) won't support SuperDish.
