    Now with RVU and C41 clients is there any benefit in upgrading my hardware to 10/100/1000 speeds? My current switch is 10/100.

    All DIRECTV networking, RVU or MRV, use 10/100 fast ethernet speeds;

    So no benefit.

    But just because there is no benefit for DirecTV it does not mean that you should not take advantage of the technology. Most gaming consoles has supported "gigabit" networking for awhile, as well as PCs and NAS which is good fior sharing files inside your network
