I'm installing a SWM-8 with an AU-9 with built in multiswitch.

    In looking at the diagrams for the SWM-8, I see that there are 4 - RG6 connectors for Sat 99/101 18V, 99/101 13V , 103/110/119 18V, and 103/110/119 13V.

My question is - do I need a non - multiswitch LNB to use with the SWM-8 that outputs discrete sat signals, or can I use my existing LNB with the built in multiswitch (and just randomly connect the 4 outputs to any SWM-8 port)?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

All the LNB units have a switch builtin. So any port on the LNB can connect to any regular port on the SWiM (but you do have to connect all four.) :)

The only time you need to worry about which port connects to something is when you have two or more switches in parallel (I have 3 right now). There I had to be very careful that all the same ports were connected to the same splitters.

    Cheers,
    Tom
