Well, I missed all the fun today but wanted to add to this thread before heading to bed.

Thank you to everyone involved at D* for enabling the CE program and the beta of the SWM, H21, and HR21. Truly a proactive forward-thinking program that allows us diehards to aid D* with polishing of state-of-the-art technology.

Thank you to Earl, Tom, the Shadow, Doug, and everyone at DBSTalk for creating a professional relationship with D* and providing a leading edge program that works.

And thanks to all the great friends that I've met (virtually) within the past year. It's been a great ride ... and who knows ... we might still be at the beginning!

I'm in for getting the DirecTV engineers some pizza. They've more than earned it. :)

My thanks as well for everything Tom mentioned. I'm more active here than at the message boards I own--and that's saying something.

Can't think of anything to add to what has already been said. I agree completely with all of the comments, and just wanted to add my voice to the group.

    Nicely stated Tom.

This is an incredible group at dbstalk and I appreciate the people at Directv that let us in on their fun, and the support they provide. Great job!!

The mods, CEers, and members here make this truly enjoyable to participate.

I have officially transferred my addiction from college hockey to Directv and dbstalk.:D - besides, Directv offers the sportspack where I get all the hockey viewing I need.:)

I'd be more than happy to contribute to this fund! It'd be well deserved (and you just made my choice for dinner tonight ;))!!

I also want to send out my best wishes to those involved with all the fires out in CA. I hope everyone you know is safe and of good health. Anything else can be re-built or remembered but a life happens just once that we know of. :)

I agree with Capmeister and Coffey77. I wonder if there is something like this we can do. Maybe everyone paypal Earl a few dollars (if he is willing to do it) and he could order some stuff for them.

I really can't add anything to Tom's post, so I'll just have to do something I hate to do:

Thanks DirecTV; for allowing us to field test the HR21-700; I really enjoyed the opportunity to help with this new product.

Thanks Earl; for all the coordination you did to enable us to receive the HR21s and have our accounts activated and mirrored correctly. Also, thanks for selecting me to participate with the rest of the field testers.

Thanks, fellow field testers; for all the help you've given me during this process and before with my HR20-700.

Thanks DBSTalk; for everything you do and enable us to do.

I hope our input helps in making the commercial launch of the HR21 a success; and that we all helped find some problems and bugs that may have gone undiscovered.

    Vinny
