What was the name of that failed Imperial Admiral, LV ?
It should be your management's 'admiral' name there ...
Vader Take a copy of the e-mails you have received and get the names and a phone # from those people and send all this information to A) Your attorney B) The SBCA and
C) It is time to forward this whole matter to the FCC. Also you may want to contact your
city/county planning board.
Its time to bury this problem.
You need to tell every one of them to contact the fcc. Amazing how arrogant people are, isn't it? No, on second thought, not really.
So I get a follow-up Email today from one of the aforementioned persons who is scheduled to move in to the complex in November. He originally Emailed me through the apartment ratings website asking me how he could retain his DirecTV service when he moves here in mid-November.
I told him it was a long story, so I suggested he call me (I provided him my number, no big deal). Well, today his follow-up Email said he decided to take Comcast's Triple Play bundle of Internet/TV/VoIP because the price was "hard to beat," but that in a year or two, if he has any additional questions of how to have a DirecTV dish installed, he'd get back to me.
I was polite when I replied and told him that he still can change his mind. I listed several significant differences, but I guess it didn't matter.
To some people its all about the price instead of the bells and whistles
I even went so far as to say that all things being equal, DirecTV is the way to go. Hands down!
What surprised me even more was the fact that he's a current DirecTV customer who decided it wasn't worth the hassle of trying to put a dish up and instead went for this "Triple Play" crap. When are people going to learn that the only authentic "triple play" is in baseball, not some video provider?
You should have used the Force Choke lol.
The Force can't be used via Email, unfortunately.
BTW, I did have to reiterate to the Emailer that I had no monetary or vested interest in promoting DirecTV. After all, he was a current customer, so the Refer a Friend program didn't apply.
Regardless, sometimes I selfishly think DirecTV ought to offer me some kind of job with all the fighting I've done for them lately!
I mean, since losing my teaching job at the end of the previous school year in an education market that is worse than horrible, I could have used some help!
You could always work at DTV and get the employee discount (which should be everything free minus premiums) lol.
I'm sure I'd get the same response from them as I do from everyone else: "Don't call us; we'll call you."
Come on, you've been on DBSTalk long enough to know that you have to be a mod before they'll offer you a job.
Yeah, no kidding.
Should be everything free minus ppvs. Premiums are included
I think im going to have to start working at D* again then lol, at E* employees only get the americas top 250 =/
lol, major tech site for both D* and E* where I live, but D* is clearly the better choice, and i can't even get service at my apartment!
Pay at the site i work at is better though =/
They use Pay for performance and if you surpass goal on all your metrics you get 40% bonus applied to your check and it also multiplies over time as well.
I think the D* site i worked at may have been outsourced since they didnt use P4P even though i have been told D* does use it. Sigh, i miss D* though lol.
