They had stream overlaps last year, too. Often a game at 4pm ET didn't come on until an earlier game ended. The channels are all virtual.

Okay... back on topic for the original post.

Actually going into the article and reading it's contents....
And finding out it linked to "part two"; Here is part one:
    http://www.tvpredictions.com/dweekend090607.htm

It is more a summary of all the items that have been floating down the internet this week.

So the "title" of the article, is in corolation to the hype accross the net this week, the actual "date" referenced in the article.. is the one quoted from Eric Shanks, that still leaves it at the 9/16 ish timeframe.

Just for grins, an e-mail I just received from PR Director of History Channel...

We appreciate your interest in The History Channel HD. We will be launching on DIRECTV at the end of September.

    Best,

    Dripping...
Go to the D* web sites TV Listing application and look at Sunday afternoon's PPV channel lineup, it's all To Be Announced, guess they'll be shutting them down.

Good because I would be pissed if NASCAR HotPass was shut down for Sunday Ticket.

Every party has a pooper....

    I'm all for Earl's absolute answers. :)

We are inside of 30 days - which exact date which exact channels go live will take care of itself very soon. We've waited years to get to this point...what's a few days.

    Perspective and Patience. :D

They can't shut down HotPass, it's an extra fee service just like Sunday Ticket.

They'd be refunding everyone with HotPass if they did.

Besides, this week's race is on Saturday night so it doesn't matter.
