Wow, I've been cross-quoted from another thread! I feel so, so, superficially important! ;) I think I'll go call my mother - she'll be so proud. ;)

I wouldn't call it whining, just posters expressing opinions as to what programing they would like to see added to the DirecTV HD lineup. If you read Post #1, by Stuart, the purpose of this thread is to discuss the HD channels we would like to see.

As far as sending DirecTV emails, many of us have also written them, as well as going to the Travel Channel web site and filling out the I want my Travel Channel form.

I too would love the MilitaryHISTORY Channel to be added (no HD version exists that I know of). BUT not before Travel Channel HD :love1:  (#1), E! HD (#2), and G4 HD (#3).

Am I crazy for wanting WE (Women's Entertainment) TV in HD?  Hmm, I think I would want that before Lifetime HD. But I'll say it again, but not before Travel Channel HD. Okay, I'll shut up now. :)

I would like to see the Travel Channel, AMC, TCM, FMC, BIO, History Channels, the Discovery Channels, SCI and ID in HD, but we haven't splurged on an HD receiver and service yet.

:) MSNBC HD would be cool in HD. The more HD channels the better. I like the show documentary show "MSNBC Reports." Although I believe they have not shown it in a while (and was never shot in HD).

Now, A&E HD is a WASTE! of bandwith IMO.

And why does the Hallmark Movie Channel Website have a button that says 'Shows,' when they only show movies '.' :nono: It could be confusing for some people. Okay, my ramblings are over for now. ;)

The Sitting-On-The-Couch-Eating-Cookie-Dough-And-Bashing-Men Channel? No, I wouldn't call you crazy...

I'd might make a call to some guys wearing white coats and toting around a nice leather jacket with sleeves that tie in the back though.....

^^ I agree with you yadayada. Travel 1st. I can honestly say I don't watch that much E! (except for The Soup, no soup for you like one fellow member !rolling has an as a name and avatar; anyways)...

but I would watch it more than G4, my 3rd choice on my list.

[Lifetime HD and Hallmark Movie {HMC} HD as well please.]

    P.S.

DBSTalk has the best Smilies options I've ever seen. Smilies or not, I should become a club member to support the forum.

New HD channels on DirecTV are going to be few and far between. This ain't 2007, and Liberty Media has taken the reigns. (They seem to be struggling with getting new HD networks.) Whenever you feel like asking that question, just answer, "They're in negotiations." It's the stock answer. (Oh, and it's never, never, never DirecTV's fault.)
