The Playon version is 2.58.3217.35936. Is your Netflix account all set up for instant viewing? Do you have movings in your instant queue? Check to make sure your netflix passwork is entered into the Playon settings under the management tab. When I couldn't get in initially, I e-mailed support at an obscure hour (2am on Saturday night) and had a resolving solution in 10 minutes.
Those Media Mall people seem gung ho to get as many people happy as possible.

When that happens, I'll start being interested. As of right now, the Netflix streaming options are worse than SD-DVD in terms of PQ. With all the HD movie channels and the fact that I can get BluRay (or SD) discs sent to me in the mail, I see no reason to stream Netflix movies. I can wait an extra day to watch something with much better PQ and DD.

I use it for documentaries, old movies and old TV shows. All stuff I don't mind is not the greatest PQ and stuff I don't want to waste mailed DVDs on. The Roku box cost 100 bucks and there is no additional charge, so it is not a big deal in terms of cost. Just another option. Just like I wouldn;t want to turn off my SD channels like in the Dish Turbo package, this is another way of getting some programming.

Actually watched a couple episodes of Penn & Teller BS last night from my netflix Queue and the picture quality of a show from their 2005 season was quite good. Virtually indistinguishable from broadcast quality. Granted I did tweak the settings in PlayOn to max quality.

As this has turned out to be nothing to do with DIRECTV, I'm moving this to the OT.

Hmm at least 50% of it has had to do with Media Share..... I think that this topic would be important for D* to see so they can see the 3rd party support for Media Share. So respectfully I disagree with you oh great shadow! ;) Now excuse me while I go hide behind Doug.
