By telemarketer, i just got offered the Premiere package, with Sunday Ticket for $2.00 more per month than I already pay for 5 months. I have Choice Plus HDDVR, which runs me $79.95. If I take this offer, my package would cost me $81.95. They said all I was going to be paying for is Sunday Ticket. They said D* was 'giving' me Premiere for 5 months to 'show me the extra things I could get'.

Is this legit? Are others getting this offer?

Yep. The offer is for 5 months of the Premier package free with purchase of the NFL Sunday Ticket at 59.99/mo, which replaces your current base package...

Keep in mind, after the 5 month promotion is over, to call back if you don't want to keep the Premier at the regular rate of 114.99/month..

Very real - my parents just accepted that offer.

Now, the catch is, you're in an older package that includes HD access and DVR fees. Accepting will result in the HD access fee being separated out along with the DVR fee ($17) and you'd pay this along with the 69.99 Sunday Ticket charge. So it's more like $19 more, but still a good deal.

The package price for the expired Plus HD DVR is actually 79.99.. not 63.99 or 59.99... it includes the Choice Xtra, HD, and DVR service charges.

So after the promotion, if they went back to the Choice Xtra it would be 63.99 + $7 DVR Service + $10 HD service = 80.99...A dollar more than they were paying before, and only $2/mo more during the offer. :)

I hope they call me. I tried calling them, but this offer doesn't seem to work that way. HD is now included in the base Sunday Ticket now right? No Superfan for $100 extra needed?

That's not the HD/Redzone/Fantasy tracker/Shortcut package that was $100 last year. To go is only for PC and phone viewing and can EASILY be had for free with a quick call into customer service.

oh harsh, you silly hound dog. You are well aware that the 'To-Go' package is NOT the Superfan from 2009, and that the HD, Redzone, and Shortcuts are part of the NFL Sunday Ticket package this year.. The 'To-Go', is only for online access or mobile devices.

I am no longer under contract and don't want to be in one as there is a good chance the USAF will be moving the wife and I to Germany next summer. If Direct calls me and offers the new customer deal does it change my contract any or is that only for a change in equipment?

I might be wrong, but I believe I read in their terms of service, that service members sent overseas were exempt from the ETF's. You might want to ask them, or read their terms online to see.

Can anyone tell me a number or company name that comes up on caller ID when this offer is made? My wife and I never answer the phone unless we recognize the number, but I would love to take advantage of this offer if they call.

Call them up and try again...LOL

I called Friday to cancel NHL Center Ice and asked about other Sunday Ticket offers and the CSR said I could add it for free.

    Peachtree...
I was offered a deal similar to this 2 seasons back and I jumped on it. At the time I think they told me I would pay less than a dollar a month more. Needless to say, I jumped on the offer but when I called to ask about it last year, the CSR was quite adamant about not giving it to me and stated that offer was only for new customers or those who received a call offering it to them. Hence, no marketing call no offer. I might try and call and see if I can get this offer as I wouldn't mind getting premier at a substantial savings for 5 months. I could care less if I got NFLST or not!
